Illinois State University’s Eta Upsilon chapter “Honor Chapter," 2017-2018

This year the honor was bestowed to only 10 chapters nationwide. This is the seventh consecutive year that Illinois State enjoys this distinction. Chapter Advisor Angela Bailey de las Heras played an active role in earning this national award. 

 

Premio Octavio Paz, 2015-2016

Se otorga este premio aquellos capítulos que mantuvieron el estatus de Capitulo de Honor y Merito por un trienio. Award given to those chapters that maintain Honor Chapter status for a complete triennium.

Se reconocen a 10-15 capítulos nacionalmente por haberse destacado en le realización de actividades de gran mérito. 10-15 chapters are recognized national for their outstanding activities.

 

Premio Minaya Álvar-Fáñez, 2015-2016

Establecido en 2004, este premio reconoce anulamente a un Conserjo Capitular por la iniciative ejemplar de fomentar y ayudar con las actividades del capítulo. Established in 2004, this award may recognize yearly one Chapter Advisor for exemplary initiative in encouraging and assisting with chapter activities.

Premio Gabriela Mistral, Rita Hess, M, Spanish 2016

En reconocimiento de su excelencia en los estudios de la lengua, literatura, y cultura hispaánicas y sus labores en fomentar los ideales de Sigma Delta Pi. Granted to an outstanding graduate or undergraduate student of Spanish who is an active member of Sigma Delta Pi and who has demonstrated noteworthy involvement and initiative in his/her chapter.

 

Premio Ignacio y Sophia Galbis, 2014 – 2015
Se otorga el premio cada año a un capítulo que se haya distinguido en la realización de actividades representativas de los más altos ideales de la sociedad.  Each year this honor is bestowed upon a single chapter for its activities representing the highest ideals of the society.

Chapter Project Grant

Chapter project grant program grants $300 to support a chapter project that complements the mission of Sigma Delta Pi.  The Chapter Project Grant Program is intended to spur chapter activity and thereby help raise the chapter’s visibility in its college/university community.
